About Us
Founded in 2008 and officially registered in 2010, the Gender Equality Peace and Development Centre (GEPaDC) has become a beacon of hope in Northeast Nigeria- Over the years, we have established ourselves as a trusted organization committed to promoting gender equality and empowering women and girls in a region facing significant socio-economic challenges.
With a dedicated team of over 200 staff and passionate volunteers, we have successfully implemented a wide range of programs designed to address the pressing issues faced by women and girls in our communities. These initiatives focus on education, health, economic empowerment, and advocacy, ensuring that we meet the diverse needs of those we serve.
Our grassroots approach is essential to our mission, allowing us to connect deeply with the communities we work in. By engaging with local leaders and residents, we foster trust and collaboration, ensuring that our programs are culturally relevant and effectively address the unique challenges faced by women and girls. This strong community connection not only enhances the effectiveness of our initiatives but also empowers individuals to take an active role in their own development.
As we continue to grow, GEPaDC remains committed to creating lasting change and improving the lives of women and girls in Northeast Nigeria, paving the way for a more equitable and just society.
