GEPaDC works to advance women's and
children's rights, focusing on sexual and reproductive health and rights
(SRHR), gender equality, and protection from violence. Its key activities
include:
Advocacy and Legal Reform:
GEPaDC advocates for gender-equitable laws, policies, and international
frameworks that protect the rights of women and children, with a focus on SRHR,
gender-based violence (GBV), and child protection.
Access to SRHR Services:
Promoting universal access to
comprehensive SRHR services, including maternal health, family planning, and
safe abortion care, while also educating communities about these services.
Empowerment Programs:
Implementing economic and
leadership programs to empower women and children, offering training in skills
like financial literacy, vocational training, and entrepreneurship, alongside
psychosocial support for GBV survivors.
Child Protection:
Promoting children’s rights,
preventing child labor, child marriage, and sexual exploitation, while
providing age-appropriate sexual education and supporting vulnerable children.
Prevention of GBV:
Running awareness campaigns,
advocating for zero tolerance toward GBV, and providing legal, medical, and
psychosocial support to survivors.
Research and Monitoring:
Conducting research and
tracking the implementation of SRHR programs, collecting data on GBV and health
outcomes to inform policy and improve services.
GEPaDC partners with international
organizations, governments, and local groups to create a safer, healthier, and
more equitable environment for women and children, advancing global gender
equality and human rights goals.
