Democracy, Governance, Peace building and Women Peace and Security

GEPaDC enhances women's roles in democracy, governance, peacebuilding, and security through gendersensitive approaches.

Key Activities:

1. Democracy:

    Advocates for women's political participation and gendersensitive electoral systems.

    Provides training for women politicians and conducts voter education.

    Monitors gender disparities in elections and supports reforms.

2. Governance:

    Integrates gender perspectives into policy and governance.

    Trains women in leadership and supports gendersensitive governance practices.

    Advocates for genderequitable laws and national gender action plans.

 

3. Peacebuilding:

    Promotes women's involvement in peace processes and conflict resolution.

    Implements grassroots initiatives for local women peacebuilders.

    Ensures women's inclusion in postconflict recovery efforts.

4. Women, Peace, and Security (WPS):

    Supports the implementation of the WPS agenda and increases women's representation in peace efforts.

    Provides training for women peacebuilders and advocates against genderbased violence.

5. CrossCutting:

    Conducts research on gender, peace, and governance.

    Builds partnerships with organizations focused on these issues.

Goal: Foster inclusive peace and development by empowering women in these critical areas.
